ASML, the world’s leading semiconductor manufacturing equipment company from the Netherlands, met with Thailand’s Board of Investment (BOI) to discuss cooperation in developing Thailand’s semiconductor supply chain.

The collaboration aims to support Thailand’s national strategy and the vision of “Chip Made in Thailand”, including long-term ecosystem development.

ASML expressed strong interest in expanding its supplier network in Thailand, building on existing suppliers already operating in the country.

The company is willing to transfer knowledge and advanced technology to help upgrade Thai manufacturers and integrate them into the global semiconductor equipment supply chain.

ASML is the only company in the world capable of producing EUV and High-NA EUV lithography machines, essential for manufacturing advanced chips below 7 nm down to under 2 nm, used by global leaders such as TSMC, Intel, and Samsung.

In 2025, ASML generated revenue of over 1.2 trillion baht, highlighting its critical role in the global semiconductor value chain.

Thailand already hosts several high-potential electronics and precision equipment manufacturers, positioning the country well to become part of ASML’s global ecosystem and potentially support future wafer fabrication investments.
